Archie

Archie is made entirely by me from a beautifully soft Steiff Schulte viscose fabric, which is lovely caramel kind of colour. He is 5-way cotter jointed, with a wobble neck joint and is filled as usual with firm fibre-fill and steel shot for a good bit of weight. I’ve then aged him around the edges with oil pastels and added faux mending stitches here and there to add to the vintage look. He has black glass eyes and a prim stitched nose. I’ve made Archie a pair of prim style dungarees, made from homespun fabric, with a red hankie poking out of one of the pockets and a camera charm stitched on the other pocket – he also has 2 small bells around his neck.

From top to toe, Archie measures 10 inches (approx 25cms): sitting height he is 8 inches (approx. 19cms).

On his back you can see a fabric ‘Handmade at Bilberry Lane’ label and his unique antique style metal ‘BL’ pin.

Archie can be purchased for £50, plus shipping and packing:

Europe - £15, tracked and signed for

Summertime Delight - Log Cabin blocks

I love, love 'log cabin' blocks, don't you? These four are the next instalment in my BOM quilt from Totally Patched, called 'Summertime Delight'. I couldn't wait for these to arrive and got on to them straight away.

I hope you like them too!

This is a picture again of the finished quilt - unfortunately, it's a poor photo (not taken by me!) and doesn't show the real beauty of it!

Bianca bunny

Well, here's a change to my usual style! I've just come home from completing another teddy bear workshop run by Lynn Bowie of Madaboutbears. This is her style and, although very different to mine, I couldn't resist how cute her bears are - added to which, the workshop was in Birmingham, so even better - I didn't even need to travel very far.

So far my bunny doesn't have a name ........ so any suggestions will be welcomed! Naming my bears is always a chore; and I'm so tired right now, my brain isn't in gear!
EDIT: this fluffy bunny is now named Bianca bunny!

This was a sort of 'birthday present to self' as it was my birthday yesterday; and because of that, I was also presented with a bottle of Prosecco - thank you very much!!

Bianca is made from faux fur and she measures 9 inches/23cms top to toe and 6½ inches/17cms sitting. she can be adopted for £50, plus shipping and packaging
