Last block & Car booty!!
I’ve finished the last block of my ‘Heart & Home’ quilt – only the borders to do now!!
I haven’t had much sewing time this weekend as I’ve had a friend to stay, so I’ve been cooking, entertaining etc. instead and this morning, we went to a car boot sale – I haven’t been to one for ages and as the weather was perky, we thought we’d venture outdoors instead of staying in.
This is my car boot ‘booty’, below. A mini wicker hamper basket, which I thought I could line and use for threads or something like that. Then the black frame, which will do for a little cross-stitch embroidery; and finally two lovely little coffee cups; something I’ve been after for a while, but didn’t want to pay much for - I got the two of them for £2.00, so not bad!
................ anyway, back to work tomorrow!!!

OMG! I love that quilt you are making. I told my sister I wanted to make it and she was not very enthusiastic (I need cheerleaders y'know...when piecing is involved; I sooooo dislike piecing. No not a little, I am piecing phobic, LOL!) But now that I have seen yours I really want one too!!! ARGH! It's too awesome!>=)
block looks great Julia. I love your goodies from your car boot sale, especially the cups-gorg.
That's a very pretty block Julia.
I like the sampler print fabric used in it.
Great finds at the car boot sale.
I think the wicker basket is perfect for your sewing stuff.
oohhh lovely finds well done.

I am finishing up the stitching of a quilt using the same background fabric you used for your applique block. Your block is well done. I am trying to remember if I ever purchased that book. I have looked at it several times at a quilt shop but can't remember if I ever brought one home.
